Why it pays to act fast

The roof rat is the most common rat in Florida. It climbs trees, palms and power lines to reach attics, while Norway rats burrow near canals, foundations and dumpsters, and house mice slip through gaps the size of a dime. A few rodents can become a large colony in a short time.

Rodent Control: Frequently Asked Questions

How much does rodent control cost?

The price depends on the type of rodent, how many there are, the size of the property and how much exclusion work is needed to seal it. The inspection is free, so you get a clear plan and a quote first, and new customers get $25 off the first service.

How long does it take to get rid of rats?

It depends on the size of the infestation and how many entry points the building has. Removal usually takes more than one visit, and sealing the entry points is what keeps new rats from moving in. We explain the timeline for your property after the inspection.

Are rodent baits a risk for my kids and pets?

We choose the methods for each property and follow the product label, and UF/IFAS advises placing rodenticides in tamper-resistant bait stations. Tell us about children and pets during the inspection, and we will plan trap and bait placement around them.

What attracts rats to my house?

Food, water and shelter: fruit trees and palms, pet food and bird seed left outside, open garbage, clutter and dense landscaping. Branches and vines that touch the roof give roof rats a bridge to the attic. We point out these attractions during the inspection.

Do you seal entry points?

Yes. Exclusion is part of our rodent control service. We find and seal the gaps rodents use around the roofline, vents, pipes and doors, which is the key to keeping them from coming back.
