Raccoons

A raccoon with a bushy tail sits on a green metal roof in South Florida, looking to the left. The background is blurred with vertical tree trunks visible, highlighting a common sight for pest control experts in the region.

Raccoons raid garbage cans and pet food and move into attics, crawl spaces and uncapped chimneys. Their droppings can carry raccoon roundworm eggs (CDC), and in Florida raccoons have a higher rate of rabies than bats (FWC). Do not touch a raccoon or its droppings: call us.

Iguanas

Green iguanas eat landscape plants, and their burrows can collapse seawalls, sidewalks and foundations. Their droppings on docks and in pools can carry Salmonella. They are protected only by anti-cruelty law and cannot be relocated, so we trap and remove them following FWC rules.

Opossums

A close-up of a young opossum peeking its head over a wooden surface, with sunlight highlighting its face and whiskers. The softly blurred background hints at the lush surroundings typical of South Florida or Miami-Dade.

Opossums den in attics and crawl spaces and dig through garbage and gardens. One passing through your yard does not need to be moved. When one moves in, we handle humane trapping and removal by approved methods. Lock garbage lids and bring pet food inside at night.

Wildlife Control: Frequently Asked Questions

How much does wildlife removal cost?

It depends on the animal, how many there are, where they are living and how long trapping takes. That is why we start with a free inspection: you get a clear plan and a quote before any work begins, and new customers get $25 off the first service.

How long does it take to trap a raccoon, opossum or iguana?

It depends on the animal, how active it is and how many are on the property. Some enter a trap quickly, others take longer. After the inspection we explain where the traps will go and what to expect for your property.

Do I need to leave home? What about my kids and pets?

No, you can stay home. Tell us about children and pets during the inspection, and we will plan trap placement around them. Keep them away from traps, trapped animals and droppings. The FWC advises never touching or going near a wild animal, especially one that is not acting normally.

Is it legal to trap iguanas, raccoons and opossums?

Yes, when it follows FWC rules. Property owners may remove nuisance wildlife or authorize someone to do it for them. Green iguanas cannot be relocated and may be humanely killed on private property with the owner's permission. For raccoons and opossums we use humane trapping and removal by approved methods. Do not use poison on wildlife.

Do you work on homes and businesses? What is included?

Yes. Our wildlife trapping and removal serves Miami-Dade properties; elsewhere, call 305-594-4767 to check. The service includes an onsite inspection for the conditions that attract wildlife, humane trapping, removal by approved methods and advice on keeping animals away. We respond within 24 hours, guaranteed, and Hablamos Español.
